Cross the threshold from spiritual seeking into lived, embodied encounter with the sacred.

We are cyclical beings, influenced by the ever shifting cosmos and natural rhythms of the world around us. Most of us move through our lives without this awareness, as one week becomes the next, the months go by, and years pass with us wondering where the time has gone. The soul's natural rhythms — the turning of the year, the quality of light shifting, the particular wisdom each season carries — pass largely unnoticed beneath the noise of ordinary life.
The Threshold is a monthly pause. A place to arrive, to be welcomed into a new territory, and to cross into it with intention and reclamation of full participation in your life.

We gather for long enough to actually arrive, short enough to honor your time. We will move through a somatic settling that brings the body out of the week's momentum and into the present moment and journey into a soulful territory that will accompany you through the weeks ahead. Supported by sacred poetry and rituals to support your engagement with the mystery.

You carry the month's mystery as a living thread woven into the fabric of your days. In the weeks that follow, you find yourself noticing — a quality of light, a recurring image, a question that surfaces in quiet moments — and recognizing it as the mystery continuing to work in you. The spiritual life stops feeling like something you pursue when you have time and begins feeling like something that accompanies you. Your daily life becomes the container. The sacred stops being elsewhere.

This Month's Mystery Guest Teacher:

Jess Rhiannon and Writing as a Spiritual Practice

Humans have been using the technology of writing for thousands and thousands of years. It’s one of the oldest and most accessible ways of transformation. With a flick of our pen, we can transform our inner world into an external, written reality. Some of our earliest forms of writing were to record prayers and spells - attempts to reach out to connect with our Higher Self or Spirit.

Join us to learn more about the different ways you can use writing to transform your awareness by stepping out of your ego and to connecting more deeply with yourself or with your creative guides. You will leave with tools to disarm your inner critic and to reach down into the incredible well of your subconscious and creative self.

Jess Rhiannon has always loved writing and storytelling. During the day, she works as a technical writer focusing on software documentation. At night, she enjoys writing, contemplating her craft, and creating stories with friends through games. Jessica is on a personal healing journey from past traumas, church wounds, and intergenerational grief. She lives in Ypsilanti with her wife, two dogs, and three cats.

This gathering is for you if:

  • You sense that something in your spiritual life is ready to move from concept into embodied experience.
  • You're drawn to the seasonal rhythms of the living year but haven't found a community that holds them with real depth.
  • You want to begin a relationship with mystery and devotional practices with intention rather than drift.
  • You've been circling the edges of soul work and feel ready to step closer to the fire.
